3 Self Care Tools For Easing Anxiety

🌿 3 Self-Care Tools for Easing Anxiety

Have you been feeling stressed and overwhelmed lately? Wondering which tools would actually help you come back to a feeling of safety and calmness?

If so… you’re not alone, and this post is for you.

Lately, I’ve been receiving quite a few questions on how to best prepare for one of our retreats. While I love a good book or documentary, today I want to take a different approach and share something more simple and practical.

Because let’s be honest: most of us are already feeling a little overwhelmed by everything we have to do. So instead of adding more to your to-do list, I’d like to share my favorite healing tools to gently support your nervous system, ease anxiety, and reconnect you with your body—all from the comfort of home.

Whether you’re coming to one of my retreats or just looking for ways to feel more grounded in your daily life… I hope these rituals help you feel more at home within yourself again.

✨ Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a deeply restorative meditation that guides you into a dreamlike state between waking and sleeping. Simply lie down, close your eyes, and let yourself be guided into stillness and inner peace…

Even just 20 minutes can feel like a full reset for your nervous system, helping you relax, release stress, and sleep more deeply.

🌬️ Breathwork

Breathwork is one of the simplest, most effective tools to calm your mind. My favorite technique for anxiety is the 4-7-8 breath:

  • 🧘‍♀️ Inhale through your nose for 4 seconds
  • 🧘‍♀️ Hold your breath for 7 seconds
  • 🧘‍♀️ Exhale slowly through your mouth for 8 seconds
  • 🧘‍♀️ Repeat up to 10 times

This signals to your body that you are safe, leaving you feeling calmer, more grounded, and present. Try it next time you feel uneasy or anxious.

💗 Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

EFT is one of my favorite tools for easing emotional overwhelm. It combines gentle tapping on meridian points with affirming statements to help release stress and reprogram the subconscious mind.

You might say something like:“Even though I am feeling this way, I am safe in this moment. My fear is showing me where I am still longing to be free.”

It’s gentle, empowering, and incredibly effective. There are many guided EFT sessions available on YouTube and Spotify if you’d like to try it at home.

🌸 A Gentle Reminder

Whether you’re counting down the days until a retreat or simply wanting more peace in your daily life… these tools are here to remind you that healing doesn’t have to be complicated. For deeper support, read our guide on emotional healing. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is just pause, breathe, and return to yourself.

And if you’re ready to go deeper, my retreats are designed to hold you safely, gently, and with love through your growth and transformation.

Because you are worthy of feeling safe, calm, and at home in your body.

With all my love,
Nadine
