My Rebirthing Breathwork Journey in Latvia

🌬️ My Rebirthing Breathwork Journey in Latvia: A Week of Healing, Connection, and Letting Go

I’ve just returned from a week in Latvia, where I completed my Rebirthing Breathwork training, and I feel both lighter and more grounded than ever before.

Latvia welcomed me with sunshine, endless green forests, and the kind of calm that only comes from people who are deeply connected to nature. It was my first time in this country, and it felt like the perfect backdrop for a week of going inward, peeling back layers, and reconnecting to the breath.

What I expected was a course.
What I received was healing, connection, and profound insight.

🌿 What Is Rebirthing Breathwork?

Rebirthing breathwork is a conscious, connected breathing technique developed in the 1970s by Leonard Orr. Unlike regular breathing or pranayama, this method involves continuous, circular breathing with no pauses between the inhale and exhale.

The purpose? To release stored emotions, dissolve subconscious blocks, and reconnect with your life force.

Many people describe rebirthing sessions as a deep emotional reset—sometimes gentle and peaceful, other times intense and cathartic. For me, it has often felt like a journey inward that mirrors the depth of a psychedelic experience, with nothing but breath.

💛 A Week of Layers, Connection, and Self-Discovery

Our group started as strangers. We didn’t know each other’s stories, only that we were all called to this practice.

Each day, with every breathwork session, another layer peeled away—within myself and in those around me. I watched the group transform: faces softened, eyes brightened, hearts opened.

🤲 The Power of Being Held

One of the strongest reflections for me this week was about being supported. During sessions, facilitators would sit beside us, adjust cushions, offer a blanket, or gently place a hand on a shoulder.

These small gestures touched something deep. I realized how much I crave that kind of presence—not just in retreats, but in daily life.

Healing doesn’t have to happen alone. In fact, I believe it’s through connection—with friends, partners, and communities—that our deepest healing unfolds.

🌀 Letting Go of Control

Surrender was a recurring theme. Through my breath, I kept meeting the part of me that plans, controls, and holds tightly.

One session was especially powerful. I guided a student in my first public session, and afterward, she shared that her core pattern was about letting go of control and trusting life.

It was my own reflection. Watching her breathe, release, and soften… it’s a moment I’ll always carry with me.

🌬️ Breathwork as a Tool for Healing

Even after years of yoga, meditation, and personal growth work, this week reminded me:

There is always another layer.

  • Breathwork bypasses the mind and speaks directly to the body and subconscious.
  • It can release what words cannot.
  • It brings clarity without “figuring it out.”
  • It reconnects you to yourself—and to life itself.

🤍 Gratitude and What’s Next

I leave Latvia feeling grateful, inspired, and deeply moved. To the facilitators, my fellow breathers, and the breath itself—thank you.

This is not the end. It’s the beginning of a new chapter in how I live, teach, and hold space for others.

I can’t wait to bring this work into my retreats and private sessions—to help others go deeper, discover who they really are, and reconnect to the wisdom of their breath.

Next stop: Hamburg. Then… wherever this path leads.

✨ Curious About Breathwork?

If our paths cross and you feel called to explore breathwork, I’d be honored to guide you.

Just reach out. I’d love to hold space for you—just as I was held this week.

Until then… just keep breathing. 🌬️💛

With love,
Nadine
