I am thrilled and incredibly proud to share that Happiness Safari LLC has officially been founded! This moment feels surreal, like a dream come true, and it’s one that I never could have imagined just a few years ago.
Reflecting on this journey, I find it almost unbelievable. If someone had told me five years ago that I would be the founder of my own company, I wouldn’t have believed them. My life was so different back then.
In September 2019, I made a life-altering decision. After working for others since I was 13—starting with delivering newspapers in my small hometown—I left my corporate job. At the time, I couldn’t have envisioned myself doing anything other than being employed, staying on what I thought was the “safe side” of life.
The idea of quitting my job and pursuing something different was never even on my radar. The security of a steady paycheck was like a safety net I clung to—a big addiction, if I’m honest, and I was very addicted to it.
Even though I had a lot of freedom in my job and worked with an amazing team and manager, I still felt confined. I didn’t have full control over when or where I worked, how I did my job, or when I could take time off. The lack of autonomy gnawed at me, and I realized I was longing for something more, something that allowed me to be truly free.
Breaking out of that pattern was the biggest leap of faith I’ve ever taken. It was terrifying, but I knew deep down that I needed to make a change. So, when I left London and the corporate world behind, I had no idea what I wanted to do next. All I knew was that I wanted to teach yoga and travel. That was my starting point.
Fast forward five years, and I’m amazed at how much my life has transformed. In that time, I’ve become:
– A Bikram Yoga Travel Teacher,
– A Life Coach,
– A Podcaster, and
– A Retreat Facilitator.
Each of these roles has allowed me to explore my passions in ways I never imagined. What’s even more incredible is that all of these passions have come together to form my business—Happiness Safari LLC. Through this company, I can combine everything I love: teaching, traveling, organizing events, and bringing people together.
I feel so incredibly blessed by this new life I’ve created. There’s no longer a need to balance my work life with my private life because they have seamlessly merged into one. My life is in balance, and I’m genuinely happy.
What truly excites me is that I love what I do. I recently had a moment during a lunch break when I realized I couldn’t wait to get back to my laptop to plan my next retreat. It was such a stark contrast to the days when I had to drag myself back into the office. That realization was a powerful affirmation that I’m on the right path.
Bill Gates once said, “People overestimate what they can get done in a year and underestimate what they can get done in five years.” That quote resonates with me now more than ever. Five years ago, I couldn’t have predicted this outcome, but here I am, living a life that I once only dreamed of.
**Fun Fact:** Why the name “Happiness Safari”? My Instagram handle originally was “Searchforhappiness.” But then it hit me—I wasn’t just searching for happiness, I was on a journey, a safari, to discover it. And that’s how Happiness Safari was born.
I truly wish everyone could experience the freedom to do what they love and earn a living from it. It’s a gift I don’t take for granted, and I want to share that joy with others.
If there’s anything I can do to help you take the next step on your journey, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Wishing you a day filled with happiness,
Nadine
