ABOUT BIKRAM YOGA

BIKRAM YOGA is a series of 26 Hatha Yoga beginner postures (plus 2 breathing exercises) practiced at a room temperature of 40 degrees Celsius and a humidity of 40%. The exercises are challenging but not complicated and are stretching, lengthening and strengthening your entire body. The internal organs and glands are massaged and positively supported in their function. The warmth and humidity allow your body to detoxify optimally, your circulation and metabolism are stimulated, oxygen transport is increased and your immune system is activated.

MY YOGA JOURNEY

I started practising in Hamburg in 2007 and fell in love with Bikram Yoga immediately.

In 2017, when I lived and worked in Munich and seemed to have everything, I started to feel the need to change something in my life. I had a deep calling to help people, so I decided to do a three-month sabbatical and attended the Teaching Training in Acapulco, Mexico.

Those three months changed my life completely. I maybe didn’t find the purpose in life but gave my life meaning. Yoga showed me that life is not about ourselves but about helping others. When you start healing others, you begin to heal yourself! I teach with a lot of passion and compassion because I know what my students are going through in their lives and practice.

In 2019 I quit my job to become a full-time Yoga Teacher. In 2020 I travelled to 20 countries and taught in 15 different studios in 10 countries in Europe.

In 2021 I lived and taught in Nairobi, Kenya – the only Bikram Yoga studio in Africa.

So far, working as a Travel Yoga Teacher has been the best experience in my life. I met so many incredible and inspiring people from all over the world.
